COMPANY OVERVIEW

FutureStitch is a fully vertical circular manufacturer that believes business should be a force for good. We design, develop, and manufacture advanced circular-knit products for leading global brands including Stance, New Balance, the NBA, and MLB. From our research partnerships at MIT to our Oceanside manufacturing facility that employs second-chance hires, FutureStitch is recognized as one of the most innovative knitting manufacturers in the world.

In 2026, FutureStitch will launch a global base layer collection for New Balance and unveil a new in-house brand, SECONDS , as we expand beyond socks into accessories, base layers, and underwear. SECONDS is a regenerative design collective built on the power of second chances for both people and the planet. Through circular manufacturing and advanced recycling technologies, we transform waste into feedstock, creating performance-driven apparel and accessories designed to scale responsibly.

THE ROLE

FutureStitch Companies — a parent company and three business units spanning global supply, licensing, brand operations, and domestic manufacturing — is hiring its first dedicated technology resource. The mandate is simple: own the core business processes end to end, make the data behind them trustworthy, and give the organization real-time visibility through KPI dashboards it does not have today.

Our operating thesis: automation is a core operating capability, not a side project. You will design the process, set the data standard, build the dashboard, then automate the workflow — using AI, including Anthropic's Claude platform, to multiply the productivity of every team. This is a build role for someone energized by creating order from scratch, with autonomy and executive backing to do it.

A note on experience: we index on demonstrated skill over years of tenure. You will report directly to the COO and work with close direction on priorities and business context — what we cannot teach is technical ability, speed of learning, and the instinct to build. If you are early in your career but can show us real things you have built, we want to talk to you.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Core business processes. Map, standardize, and continuously improve the workflows that run the company: product R&D lifecycle, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, manufacturing, supplier performance, and month-end close. You are the process engineer — every system and AI decision flows from a process you understand. Build and maintain solutions that enable the business to thrive.
  • ERP consolidation. Only one of our four entities is live on our ERP today. Bringing the remaining business units online — clean data migration, chart of accounts mapping, validated financial cutover, intercompany flows — is integral to this role and the foundation everything else depends on.
  • Data standards. Define master data ownership, validation rules, and quality controls that stop bad data at the point of entry. Clean, consistent data across all entities internally and externally — is the prerequisite for both reliable reporting and effective AI.
  • KPI dashboards. Stand up the BI layer from zero. Select the tool, model the data, and deliver the company's first real-time operating picture: operational and financial KPIs for Operations, Finance, and supply chain — one source of truth for all teams.
  • AI-powered automation. Identify the recurring, manual workflows that consume the most team hours — reporting, exception detection, document processing, data quality monitoring — and build Claude-powered automations that handle them. Prove value with measured results, train the teams, scale what works.

YEAR 1 DELIVERABLES

For Q3:

  1. All entities confirmed live on Xorosoft ERP (with a primary focus on Factory Operations) with legacy systems (SAP, QuickBooks) retired and financials cutting over cleanly.
  2. KPI dashboard suite live: operational scorecards for O2C/P2P, manufacturing output, defect rate, supplier performance, and consolidated financial visibility supporting monthly close.
  3. Documented data standards, master data governance, and transaction synchronicity in place across entities.

For Q4:

  1. System integrations running reliably (ERP–ecommerce, ERP–3PL, ERP–BI) with manual data transfer eliminated.
  2. Two to three production AI automations identified and deployed against high-volume manual workflows — with measured time savings or accuracy gains.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

Skills you can demonstrate matter more to us than where or how long you have worked. Be ready to show us what you have built.

  • SQL proficiency: you can write queries against raw data, build reports from scratch, and troubleshoot data discrepancies at the system level.
  • You have built dashboards end to end on a BI platform (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar) data modeling included, not just consuming reports someone else designed.
  • You have shipped at least one AI-powered automation that eliminated a recurring manual workflow — and can explain the data standards it depended on. API integration and prompt engineering with Claude or an equivalent LLM platform.
  • Process thinking: You can walk us through a workflow you redesigned or automated, the data standard you imposed, and the measurable result.
  • Working knowledge of financial data flows — chart of accounts, intercompany transactions, month-end close — or the aptitude and appetite to learn them fast. ERP exposure (any platform) and the willingness to go deep on Xoro, with implementation partner support.
  • Self-directed learner who is comfortable with ambiguity: you figure things out from documentation, vendors, and first principles without waiting to be told how.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • Hands-on ERP configuration or data migration experience (Xoro, NetSuite, SAP Business One, or similar); experience consolidating from multiple legacy systems.
  • Agentic workflow builds: tool use, RAG, or MCP server development; Python for data and integration work.
  • Background in consumer products, apparel, manufacturing, or licensed goods; ecommerce (Shopify) and 3PL/EDI integration experience.
  • Experience supporting international operations across time zones.

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary commensurate with experience; health, dental, and vision; 401(k); paid time off. This is not a role where you maintain someone else's systems — you will define the technology and AI operating model of the company.

FutureStitch Companies is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
