PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • To assist in the maintenance and repair of the agency’s telephone system;
  • Troubleshoot, repair and support of IT Department managed devices hardware, operating systems and software, as well as installing updates on the agency’s computers and network hardware, ensuring that all systems and network hardware and software have the latest vendor security patches installed;
  • Configure and manage user accounts on IT Department managed devices - installing, moving, adding, changing and upgrading of user accounts, and software products;
  • Assist in analyzing, testing and migrating new releases of software;
  • Configure, maintain and support current IT Department managed devices operating systems, troubleshooting and repair any/all software problems; install, maintain and support all software on devices managed by the IT Department;
  • To put a pleasant Information Technology face in front of staff members;
  • To provide end user training;
  • To assist as needed with server maintenance;
  • To assist as a “jack of all trades” in the Information Services department;
  • To be on-call on alternating weeks or on a schedule to be determined by the Director of Information Technology;
  • To assist with the design, testing, installation and implementation of new technologies;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.

QUALIFICATIONS


Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or applicable experience and demonstrable skills appropriate for this position. Must be able to handle the stress of constant employee support demands with a cheerful disposition. Must have knowledge of information/network security, introductory TCP/IP, PC troubleshooting, structured problem-solving, attention to detail, ability to keep confidences, and a keen awareness of the legal issues raised in the Information Services/Technology field. Because technology configuration is so easily complicated if not done with precision, must be willing to follow specific instructions precisely.

EMPLOYMENT PROVISIONS


Time on Duty: To be arranged so as best to accomplish the work to be done. To follow a basic office schedule from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Lunch 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Salary: As provided for in the Annual Budget.

Benefits: As stated in Personnel Policies and Procedures and determined by Board of Directors.
