This position is located in the Information Technology Division and is responsible for the project management of information technology (IT) projects while following industry best practices as defined by the Project Management Institute and the California Department of Technology.

The position may be located in Fresno, Los Angeles, Shasta, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Diego, Ventura, Napa, and Yolo County. The location will be determined based on the most qualified candidate.

Special Requirements

Veterans may qualify for a CalVet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678).   • A relevant degree in Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Management, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or Mathematics
  • Define architectural vision, roadmap, and implement standards for governing, modeling, storing, and delivering data within the enterprise
  • Master data management, ETL processes, and data warehousing components
  • Strong background in data warehousing tools and technologies
  • Safeguarding a company’s security and confidentiality standards
  • Create and enforce policies for effective data management
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis
  • Experience or education in one or more of the following technologies: SQL / SQL, RDBMS, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, ETL / ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and Enterprise Metadata Management Systems.
  • Experience producing requirements documents, systems architecture and interfaces, data model diagrams, configuration management documents etc.
  • Knowledge of principles of public administration, organization, analytical techniques and technical report writing; methods to conduct research, analyze and evaluate information, develop studies and prepare reports.
