We are currently seeking an experienced
IT Superintendent
to join our mining operations in Liberia. The successful candidate will play an active role in maintaining and improving critical IT infrastructure, network systems, cybersecurity, field technologies, and operational support systems across our mining sites.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain VMware vCenter (ESXi) environments, virtualization infrastructure, and critical server systems.

Support Hybrid Active Directory, DNS, Domain Controller, Microsoft 365, Group Policy, and File Server operations.

Ensure continuity of backup systems, disaster recovery processes, and data protection operations.

Manage Layer 2/Layer 3 network infrastructure including VLAN, routing, access control, and switching operations.

Configure and maintain FortiGate firewall systems, VPN infrastructures, and network security policies.
-
Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.
-
Perform critical field interventions including fiber optic troubleshooting, fusion splice operations, termination, and testing activities.

Support operational continuity of IT equipment such as access points, switches, IP cameras, NVR systems, printers, and operational devices.

Support facial recognition systems, access control systems, PDKS, and turnstile infrastructures together with technical teams.

Provide remote and on-site help desk support for hardware, software, network, and user-related issues.

Coordinate IT purchasing requests, inventory management, and asset assignment processes.

Participate in emergency response activities and provide technical support during critical operational incidents.

Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, incident records, and operational logs.
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree or Technical Vocational Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical disciplines.

Candidates with strong field operations and technical infrastructure backgrounds are preferred.
Experience
-
Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in system administration, network operations, and field IT infrastructure.

Previous experience in mining, industrial operations, large-scale field environments, or remote site operations is highly preferred.
-
Experience working in critical operational environments requiring rapid technical response is an advantage.
Technical Skills
-
Advanced knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, virtualization infrastructure, and vMotion operations.

Strong experience with FortiGate firewall administration, SSL/IPSec VPN, SD-WAN, IPS/IDS, and web filtering technologies.
-
Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, routing, VLAN segmentation, and dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
-
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, and Microsoft Defender solutions.
-
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy management, DNS, DHCP, FTP, and related network services.

Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, and SNMP protocols.
-
Practical field experience in fiber optic infrastructure, fusion splice operations, and field network troubleshooting.

Experience supporting operational technologies such as CCTV systems, access control systems, and industrial IT equipment.

Valid Class B driver’s license is preferred.

Willingness to participate in emergency interventions outside standard working hours when operationally required.
