Information Technology Support Specialist

Barton Associates are in search of a customer-focused Information Technology Support Specialist to join our IT team based in York, PA

  • Serve as primary Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk contact, providing hands-on and remote support for hardware, software, Windows 11 systems, and connectivity issues.
  • Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environment, including Outlook, Office apps, Teams (chat/voice/video), email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and user licensing.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2019+ environments and core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripting and automation tools to improve IT operations, manage deployments, and maintain accurate system inventory and documentation.
  • Provide installation, licensing, and troubleshooting support for specialized engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SKM, Trane Trace).
  • Deliver strong customer-focused service in a fast-paced, multi-location environment, prioritizing issues effectively while maintaining detailed documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a help desk or IT support role
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows 11 operating systems
  • Microsoft Office 365 environment, including New Outlook and Teams
  • Dell, Intel NUC, HP, Lenovo Hardware
  • Active Directory
  • DNS/DHCP
  • Group Policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting engineering or architecture software environments
  • Windows Server 2019+
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Omnissa Horizon VDI
  • Experience with endpoint deployment and imaging solutions
