About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Technician with 1–3 years of professional experience supporting IT systems within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This role will be onsite five days per week at a client location in The Woodlands area, rather than at our office. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, tech-savvy, and eager to contribute to supporting diverse IT infrastructures while helping clients thrive through technology.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone or email to provide technical assistance.
· Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and targeted questioning.
· Identify optimal solutions for issues based on customer details and technical expertise.
· Guide customers through the problem-solving process with clear communication.
· Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams as necessary.
· Provide accurate information regarding IT products and services.
· Document events and issues in ticketing software and maintain centralized documentation.
· Follow up with customers to update their status and ensure resolution satisfaction.
· Relay customer feedback or suggestions to internal teams for process improvement.
· Recommend and implement enhancements to troubleshooting procedures.
· Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network infrastructure components.
· Ensure antivirus software is up to date and perform routine security checks.
· Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
Requirements
· Proficiency with Microsoft applications (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
· Understanding of network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, switches, and access points.
· Proven experience in a service desk or technical support role, preferably in an MSP environment.
· Technical aptitude with knowledge of office automation tools, databases, and remote support solutions.
· Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and related technologies.
· Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues effectively.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· A customer-oriented, calm, and professional demeanor.
