IT Technician
Arizona Industries for the Blind is an enterprise non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire individuals who are blind to pursue their maximum potential through creating, sustaining, and improving employment while providing the highest quality product and services. We operate three lines of business – third-party logistics, retail stores, and document imaging – at four different locations in Arizona.
The Information Technology team is centrally located at our headquarters in Phoenix with the team working in-office. The team is responsible for maintaining the technology infrastructure and providing support to everyone in the organization.
Summary:
Arizona Industries for the Blind is looking for an Information Technology Technician who primarily supports and maintains the organization’s end user computing environment which includes user accounts, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, other peripherals, operating systems, and applications like Microsoft Office. Support is provided in-person at the headquarters and via remote tools.
Key Duties Include:
- Create, maintain, and deprovision user accounts in Active Directory and other business applications.
- Unlock accounts and perform password resets.
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage desktop/laptop computers and other end user peripherals like laser printers, label printers, multi-function peripherals, and scanners.
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and update operating systems and other software applications.
- Provide technical assistance to end users on hardware and software.
- Enter and maintain entries in a ticketing system and an asset management system.
- Assist with writing and maintaining IT-related knowledge base articles and procedures.
- Travel between sites as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Needed:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must successfully pass a nationwide background check and drug screening.
- Must possess valid, government issued identification.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in an Information Technology position with similar duties that include the following: Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Office/Microsoft 365, Computer Hardware, Computer Peripherals/Accessories, Active Directory, Networking, and Mobile Devices.
- A+, Network+, and/or other technical certifications are not required but will elevate the ideal candidate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to solve problems by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload comprised of various tasks and projects.
