Job Summary: The Infrastructure Engineer III is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise network systems, with a strong emphasis on firewall and VPN administration. This individual will manage and troubleshoot complex networking environments, contribute to strategic infrastructure projects, and collaborate across teams to support business-critical initiatives.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Infrastructure

Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST. This is a remote position that requires occasional on-site work. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.

Scope of the Role:

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of employee, vendor, and customer VPNs
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of enterprise Palo Alto firewall policies
  • Ongoing maintenance and support of networking and related equipment
  • Enterprise network troubleshooting and occasional assistance to other corporate teams
  • Contribute to strategic projects for designing, deploying, and maintaining network systems
  • Contribute to identification and the planning for practical solutions to resolve system problems
  • Evaluate, research, and recommend useful emerging technology solutions
  • Contribute to infrastructure-related security strategies and apply them to ensure systems meet or exceed standards
  • Build technology skill proficiencies through continued education and training opportunities
  • Work to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Provide Tier 3, 24x7 technology support for the organization
  • Maintain and respect all confidential information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of field-related experience in networking and security
  • Experience in any of the following desired:
    • Networking/Security - Cisco (ASA, ISE, Nexus, UCS), F5, Palo Alto
    • Automation/Orchestration – Ansible, PHP, Salt, Puppet, Chef
    • Compute Technologies – UCS, HCI, Bare Metal
    • Virtualization - VMware, Azure
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates ability to convey complex technical topics to non-technical audiences including organizational executives
  • Demonstrate professional, friendly interaction with peers, clients, and vendors which are consistent with organizational values and philosophies
  • Demonstrated ability to handle aggressive mission critical deadlines and dynamic workloads
  • Self-starter with initiative to seek out areas of improvement and recommend changes
  • Ability to design, document, and explain complex workflows
  • Critical thinker with the ability to dive deep into inner workings of technologies
  • Willingness to share knowledge and mentor those looking to improve their overall understanding and skills
  • Eagerness to take on tasks outside routine or comfort zone

Remote Work Requirements:

  • Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection
  • Must have a distraction free home office workspace
  • Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)

Working Conditions: This office-based position requires routine use of standard equipment and extended computer use. Candidates must be able to sit, use hands, fingers, and occasionally lift, squat, stoop, bend, and reach. Problem-solving, practical learning, and instruction interpretation skills are essential.
