Infrastructure/Utilities Engineer –Design

• Review and evaluate design drawings, calculations, and technical reports for utilities (water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, electrical/telecom ducts, etc.) to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.
• Verify accuracy, completeness, and constructability of design submissions prepared by contractors or design consultants.
• Check alignment, profiles, and hydraulic designs of utility networks to ensure technical adequacy and integration with road and bridge works.
• Assess coordination of utilities with other disciplines (roadway, structural, landscape, lighting, etc.) to avoid conflicts.
• Review design criteria, material specifications, and standards to confirm alignment with project scope and local authority requirements.
• Identify design discrepancies, risks, or missing information and provide technical comments for resolution.
• Participate in design review meetings and workshops, ensuring technical issues are addressed and resolved effectively.
• Support value engineering exercises by reviewing alternative design solutions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare clear, concise review comments and recommendations for submission to the project management team and stakeholders.
• Ensure all reviewed designs meet health, safety, and environmental (HSE) considerations relevant to infrastructure and utility works.
