Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Infusion Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert infusion therapy to patients across various settings, ensuring safe and effective delivery of medications and fluids. Responsibilities

  • Administer intravenous (IV) infusions, medications, and fluids accurately following physician orders and established protocols
  • Assess patient condition before, during, and after infusion treatments, monitoring vital signs and response to therapy
  • Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during all procedures
  • Educate patients and their families about infusion therapies, medication side effects, and post-treatment care instructions
  • Document all procedures thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Manage supplies and equipment inventory for infusion therapy supplies and ensure proper sterilization and maintenance

Skills

  • Proven experience with IV insertion, catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic technique in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals or outpatient clinics
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation related to infusion therapy
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation
  • Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medication administration
  • Critical care experience including ICU or emergency room settings is highly desirable
  • Skilled in working with individuals with complex needs such as those requiring hospice & palliative medicine or long-term care services
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures related to infusion therapy
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in acute care environments such as trauma centers or Level I Trauma Centers

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
