Position: Infusion Nurse, Clinical Research
Job Summary:
Demonstrate proficient infusion skills. Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients' IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

Be a licensed nurse, with a current license.

Minimum of one year of infusion nursing experience.

GCP certified for research purposes in infusions.

Work positively and favorably with patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Perform the infusion therapy as directed by physician orders.*

Establish intravenous access per policy and procedure. *

Observe, assess, and document symptoms via nurses note timely. *

Monitor reactions and patient progress. *

Educate patients and/or caregivers on disease processes, medications, side effects/risks.

Schedule follow up appointment for next therapy. *

Notify the physician and other personnel (CEO) of change in the patient’s condition. *

Perform skill outline in the agency’s approved policy and procedure manual. *

Update clinical records according to policy and procedures. *

Update knowledge and skills by attending in-service programs, continuing education programs, seminars, and self-study programs annually. *

Perform inventory count before and after clinic daily, communicate needs to medication@curbsideinfusion.com

Communicate supply needs prn to supplies@curbsideinfusion.com

Adhere to safe nursing practice standards.

Maintain professionalism with patient and client staff.

Obtain satisfaction surveys from patients prn.

Collect co-pays as required.

Call no-show patients prn.

Be knowledgeable about medications to be administered.Reference RxTool Kit

Mix medication per policy and procedure (never before pt arrival).

Adhere to Medicaid and Medicare regulations. *
