NOW HIRING READYMIX MECHANIC **

JOB TITLE: MECHANIC

SUMMARY: It is the primary duty of this position to safely maintain and repair the company equipment. Report daily to the maintenance manager & assistant manager.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Other duties may be assigned

- Performs repairs and assigned maintenance services

- Maintains a clean, safe, work area and performs all the work in accordance with established safety procedures

- Use hand tools which require grasping and fine manipulation, operate electrical and pneumatic tools

- Maintain health such that will allow passing of physical examinations and drug & alcohol tests

- Maintain a positive attitude with fellow workers, customers, and supervisors

- Report to work when required and ready to work

- Maintain a professional appearance

QUALIFICATIONS

- Possess a valid class C driver’s license (Texas)

- Pass a physical and Drug Screen

- Be able to communicate effectively

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- In the course of the day, the worker will stand, bend/stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, squat, reach above his/her shoulders, and lift up to 100 lbs. and maneuver/handle up to 200 lbs.

Truck Shop Functions

- Must climb in and out of truck cab

- Place and replace automotive parts up to 70 lbs. each day

- Add oil & other fluids to make trucks operational

- Read documents daily

Clean and Inspect Trucks

- Use needed cleaners to scrub and clean automotive truck parts daily

- Climb on and under the vehicle to inspect and work on trucks daily

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

- Work outdoors in dynamic temperatures (38F-115F) and in dynamic work sites (wet and muddy – hot and dusty)

- Be exposed to dust and construction/mechanical related environments
