Advanced knowledge of machine operations.

Working knowledge of ALL machines including but not limited to starts, stops, cooling water controls, adding blow agent.

Reads work order and specifications to determine job specifications such as type and quantity of spools, pallet types, stacking patterns and others.

Deposits materials into bins manually or using hoist.
-
Enters commands to retrieve and activate preprogrammed instructions from computer.

Performs prescribed quality control inspections.
-
Troubleshoot and diagnose minor machine and robot operational problems.

Responds appropriately to machine alarms.

Observes robotic operation, and monitors machine controller for malfunctions and error messages.

Notifies supervisor and/or other designee of programming or operating problems, when needed.

Effectively stacks, wraps and labels finished goods according to specifications.

Maintains cleanliness and organization within prescribed areas.
-
May perform simple machine maintenance, such as cleaning.
-
May assist or perform testing procedures for changes to materials and finished goods.
-
Be a good example to co-workers, regarding work ethic, teamwork, attendance, safety and quality.

Attends and participates in the morning meetings with employees at shift change.

May be required to become certified and operate a variety of forklifts.

Adapt to job changes as needed, depending on workflow.
Physical Demands/Requirements

Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. safely.

Noise level in materials area at times can be loud.

Must be willing and able to abide by all safety policies.

Day or night shift; rotating 12-hour shifts, resulting in 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next week; every other weekend. Work is required on most holidays.

Non-climate-controlled plant environment; standard hazards within a manufacturing plant where safety precautions and personal protective equipment must be maintained at all times.
Requirements
-
1-3 years of experience, injection molding experience a plus.
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Written and oral communications.
-
Mechanical and technical aptitude aimed at controlling and operating complex machinery.
-
Time management and critical thinking skills.
