What Does the Process Development Team Member Do at Farplas?

• Actively participate in process development activities by evaluating manufacturability, paintability, and plastic injection mold conditions for plastic injection processes, and take necessary actions in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Manage the Moldflow analysis process, interpret analysis results, and provide feedback to related teams.
• Lead the injection process development activities in line with the project timeline, ensure smooth transition to mass production, and standardize all outputs by executing the following tasks:
• Define, optimize, and standardize process parameters on injection machines.
• Actively participate in new mold commissioning processes and prepare process documentation.
• Analyze and resolve process-related issues during the transition of projects into mass production.
• Implement performance indicators such as cycle time, scrap rate, machine tonnage, and machine efficiency according to project targets.
• Close all responsible items in the ENOVIA PLM phase system in accordance with the project schedule and support project management performance tracking.
• Fulfill technical responsibilities, participate in internal and external injection trials, and prepare reports throughout project phase periods.
• Support the preparation of technical specifications for machine and equipment procurement in accordance with the project timeline and process requirements.
• Manage the entire plastic injection process for Farplas molds, both domestic and international, from the product development phase to transfer into the production facility.
• Prepare annual departmental activity and performance indicator reports in alignment with Farplas policies, strategies, goals, and cross-functional responsibilities.

What Are the Requirements for a Process Development Team Member at Farplas?

• Graduated from Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related engineering departments.
• Skilled in measuring and reviewing 3D data using programs such as CATIA or Kisters; preferably capable of basic-level design.
• Knowledge of polymers, manufacturing technologies (injection molding machines, material drying ovens, mold temperature controllers, and other auxiliary equipment, preferably robotics), and plastic injection mold systems; hands-on experience is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in plastic injection molding processes.
• Minimum B2 level proficiency in English.
• Strong communication skills, a good team player, and able to work effectively in both office and shop-floor environments with a high sense of responsibility.
• No restrictions for domestic and international travel.
• For male candidates, military service must be completed.
• Strong reporting, presentation, analytical, and follow-up skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Residing or willing to reside on the Asian side of Istanbul or in the Kocaeli region.
