Job Title: Production Engineer – Injection Molding

Job Summary

The Production Engineer – Injection Molding is responsible for overseeing and optimizing injection molding operations to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and monitor daily injection molding production activities.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot injection molding machines and molds.
  • Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor process parameters and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and wastage.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and molds.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce cycle time.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
  • Analyze production data and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Coordinate with quality, tooling, and planning departments for smooth operations.
  • Train and guide machine operators and technicians.
  • Support new mold trials, material trials, and product development activities.

Quality & Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs.
  • Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain proper documentation related to production and quality.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment on the shop floor.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, machines, and tooling.
  • Understanding of plastic raw materials and processing parameters.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and team management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Plastics, or Production Engineering.

Experience

  • 2–6 years of experience in injection molding production (experience may vary as per company requirement).

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with multi-cavity molds and automation.
  • Knowledge of ISO / IATF standards (if applicable).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
