Position Overview
The Innovation Studio Lead Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction across AI, AR, digital marketing, and product development, with a strong emphasis on storytelling, cultural literacy, and historical preservation.
This role leads project-based learning where students design AI-powered fan engagement campaigns and AR-driven experiences alongside Legacy Innovation Box products that translate the legacy of Ambassador Andrew Young into interactive, culturally grounded, and market-aligned formats.
The Lead Instructor ensures students connect technical skills with storytelling, branding, production workflows, and product supply chain concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead instruction across AI, AR, digital marketing, and innovation curriculum
- Facilitate project-based learning integrating sports activation, branding, and cultural storytelling
- Guide students in developing narrative-driven campaigns and product concepts rooted in civil rights history and community impact
- Support development of Legacy Innovation Boxes including storytelling, branding, packaging, and product flow
- Teach foundational concepts of product lifecycle including ideation, production, marketing, and distribution
- Integrate storytelling frameworks including audience engagement, narrative structure, and experiential design
- Incorporate culturally responsive teaching practices that center identity, history, and community relevance
- Supervise Technical Assistants and coordinate instructional support
- Monitor student progress across technical execution, storytelling, and product development
- Maintain a structured, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Lead preparation for culminating showcase including pitch development, marketing presentation, and product demonstration
- Collaborate with program leadership to align with program site engagement and public-facing storytelling outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Certified Teacher (Required)
- Certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field strongly preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience
- Experience delivering technology, digital media, business, or marketing instruction
- Ability to integrate interdisciplinary learning including storytelling, branding, or cultural content
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Must pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project-based or experiential learning models
- Familiarity with AI tools, AR platforms, or digital marketing systems
- Experience teaching entrepreneurship, business concepts, or product development
- Background in culturally responsive teaching or social studies integration
- Experience in summer programs, workforce programs, or innovation labs
