Inpatient Utilization Manager/Social Worker, Behavioral Health

Job Summary
The Behavioral Health IP Utilization Manager/Social Workercreates, manages, and develops comprehensive behavioral health and substance use disorder plans through utilization review, discharge planning and social work interventions. Concurrent assessments are conducted to determine effective utilization and discharge plans including appropriate levels of care needed and to refer patients to relevant providers and programs. Role will include inpatient utilization review, discharge planning and case management including the coordination of care with the primary care physician and nursing staff to assure patient compliance with appointments and treatment plan. Also of significance will be regular communication with the hospital team, patient and the patient’s family, and caregivers to ensure patient effective discharge plans adherence to their behavioral health treatment plans.

• Must have current California LVN or RN license
• Current California MSW, MFT, or LCSW license a significant plus
• 2+ years direct experience in Behavioral Health Substance Use Disorder Utilization, Case Management and/or Social Work
• Knowledge of Behavioral Health industry practices with preferred emphasis on managed behavioral care
• Face-to-face Behavioral Health Social work and case management experience a plus

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
