Inpatient/Outpatient Psychiatrist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health care, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and therapy for patients with a variety of mental health conditions. The Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages, including children and geriatrics.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
  • Provide ongoing patient care, including medication management and psychotherapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, including those with developmental disabilities and PTSD.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and proper record-keeping.
  • Engage in crisis management interventions as needed to support patients in acute distress.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations when appropriate.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis to improve patient outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on current best practices in psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric principles, medical terminology, and mental health counseling techniques.
  • Experience working with children, including pediatric psychiatry, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with addiction counseling methods and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Proficient in patient assessment techniques and diagnostic evaluation processes.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating strong independent decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is preferred, along with clinic experience post-residency.
