Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health care, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and therapy for patients with a variety of mental health conditions. The Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages, including children and geriatrics.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
- Provide ongoing patient care, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, including those with developmental disabilities and PTSD.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and proper record-keeping.
- Engage in crisis management interventions as needed to support patients in acute distress.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations when appropriate.
- Participate in data collection and analysis to improve patient outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Stay updated on current best practices in psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric principles, medical terminology, and mental health counseling techniques.
- Experience working with children, including pediatric psychiatry, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling methods and crisis intervention strategies.
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating strong independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is preferred, along with clinic experience post-residency.
