Inside Sales - Market Segment Leader

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Under the direction of the Market Segment Manager, the Market Segment Leader is responsible for meeting a high level of customer satisfaction and knowledge within the customer assigned markets. The Market Segment Leader will develop strong relationships with customers, connect with key business executives and stakeholders. The Market Segment Leader will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams, ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and improve the entire customer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures and housekeeping standards.
  • Provide world class customer support by identifying issues, devising solutions, and accepting ownership of the results.
  • Build long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers at all levels of the assigned customer’s organizations.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the assigned customers, market challenges, behaviors, market trends, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service and management resources in order to meet customer performance metrics and customers’ expectations.
  • Conduct regular off- or on-site business review meetings with customers.
  • Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly customer initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively lead assigned customer planning and forecast processes.
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as necessary.
  • Actively engage in customer negotiations, due diligence, strategy, and other business and customer development requirements.
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and be available and responsive to their real-time needs.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
This position requires at least an associate’s degree or demonstrated educational or training path toward professional growth. Minimum of three to five years of experience in large/strategic customer management

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees to share information, solves problems, and instructs or train other employees. Must have the ability to read and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, shop orders, work plans, and short correspondence. Must be able to write standard reports and documentation.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess good computer skills and be able to learn new skills as needed. Requires the ability to operate various equipment to include computer, various precision measuring devices and lifting devices. Requires a broad knowledge of tooling, material characteristics, and general manufacturing and machining practices. Should be knowledgeable and/or familiar with applicable ISO/TS and quality system requirements and policies.
