Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3+ years in inside sales or business development, preferably in defense or aerospace
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and KPIs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse customer types
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a remote environment

About the Job:

The Inside Sales Representative is the primary contact for internal and external customers, building relationships, providing technical support, and managing a broad portfolio of business. This role blends daily tactical work—such as lead qualification, quoting, and follow-up—with strategic responsibilities like outbound prospecting, managing direct sales opportunities, and close collaboration with Sales and Business Development. You will represent the voice of the customer across departments and play a key role in driving customer satisfaction and company growth.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:


Inside Sale

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through phone, email, and video conferencing
  • Qualify inbound leads, assess needs, and provide tailored solutions to drive conversions
  • Prepare, deliver, and manage customer quotes, ensuring accuracy, timely follow-up, and clear communication
  • Play a lead role in ensuring top customers are consistently growing their business with our products
  • Manage direct sales opportunities, where applicable or as directed, ensuring alignment with company strategy
  • Field requests from prospective dealers, vetting them against channel structure and initiating the appropriate action
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate customer records and forecasts in SalesForce
  • Conduct proactive outreach to identify and pursue new business opportunities

Outside Sales Support

  • Collaborate with outside sales on joint initiatives, ensuring alignment on goals and messaging
  • Support lead qualification, proposal development, and smooth hand-off of opportunities
  • Act as liaison between inside and outside sales teams for seamless customer engagement
  • Share customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product positioning

Channel Sales Support

  • Assist in developing and executing channel sales strategies with partners and resellers
  • Manage the onboarding of new partners—including direct resellers, OEMs, and channel partners—ensuring they are equipped with the tools, training, and resources to succeed
  • Provide ongoing sales enablement support to maximize partner performance
  • Monitor channel performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend improvements
  • Mitigate and manage channel conflict, ensuring fairness, transparency, and partner satisfaction

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of defense contracting and U.S. aerospace markets
  • Familiarity with channel sales models, with the ability to identify, mitigate, and manage channel conflict
  • Proficiency in SalesForce, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite; strong reporting and analytics skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent time management
