The Role

This is not a typical sales job. We're looking for someone who can talk to a customer, understand their building environment and operational needs, and put together the right system solution from a technical product lineup -- much like an estimator or system designer would do. If you've spent time in the security, low-voltage, fire safety, or healthcare technology industry doing estimates, system design, or technical sales, this role was built for people like you.

You'll be working inbound -- customers come to us -- so the focus is less on hunting and more on listening, designing the right solution, and closing the sale. If you're an industry expert who finds traditional sales roles too shallow or who has been curious about transitioning away from fieldwork, this could be a great next step.

What You'll Do

  • Consult with inbound customers to understand their facility, environment, and requirements
  • Recommend and configure the right combination of products to fit their needs
  • Prepare quotes and follow up to move opportunities through the pipeline
  • Develop deep working knowledge of our product lines across multiple categories
  • Build long-term relationships with customers who return for additional needs
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM and sales tracking tools
  • Collaborate with the sales team on shared goals

What We're Looking For

  • Background in security systems, low-voltage technology, nurse call, fire safety, building systems, medical equipment, or similar industries strongly preferred
  • Experience in system design, estimating, technical sales, or field installation with a desire to move into an office-based role
  • Ability to assess a customer's situation and recommend a multi-component solution
  • Strong phone and written communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and consistent with follow-up
  • CRM or sales tracking software experience helpful

This Role Is Probably Not the Right Fit If:

  • You prefer selling a single straightforward product where every sale looks the same
  • Technical product details feel overwhelming rather than interesting
  • You're not comfortable asking detailed questions before making a recommendation

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary plus commission (commensurate with experience)
  • In-office position in Williamsville, NY
