Position:
The purpose of this position is to work as a direct liaison between MidWest Filter and its customers. This position is responsible for: Obtaining information to determine customer needs, generating custom quotes, handling inbound/outbound communications, providing product information and building accurate quote estimates to support the sales process.
The individual needs to establish effective working relationships with a broad variety of end-customers/resellers to support a spectrum of filtration applications. Partnering with other internal staff, providing clear and concise communication is important. Providing custom price quotes involves: Understanding customer specifications, checking drawings and other detailed spec. documents, creating customer samples, setting up part numbers, communicating and following up on order related detail.
Essential Functions:
- Interpret customers’ needs and expectations and provide appropriate solutions
- Provide required levels of technical support to internal and external customers
- Act as a liaison between the customer, internal resources, and 3rd party manufacturers
- Provide “Best-in-Class” customer service to support MWF’s reputational value
- Build and maintain healthy customer, vendor and Mfg. staff relationships
- Attend (internal) sales group meetings concerning sales plans, forecasts, and market report updates
- Continuously learn about end-user applications / processes – determine which products are best suited to achieve good outcomes for the user
- Build long-term relationships with key customers – with a “consultive” mentality
- Provide day-to-day support for all outside and inside sales initiatives
- Ensure updates are made in the ERP system to reflect updated customer information
Job Qualifications / Traits:
- Appropriate business experience, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience working in Manufacturing/Distribution, Inside-sales, Customer Service or related environment preferred· Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to offer product solutions and recommendations as appropriate
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of pricing methodologies (understand margin/mark-up goals and parameters)
- Have above average computer skills including daily use of: Outlook. Word, Excel, Teams and ERP operating system
- Excellent phone manner and preference for discussion vs use of E-mail
- Ability to read and understand data sheets, product drawings and specifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment

Working Conditions:
Position will be located in an office environment (West Chicago, IL) with occasional requirements to conduct work in the warehouse or production areas. Other requirements include standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, related office equipment, and a minimum 40 work hours per week. Occasional travel may be required to visit customer sites where use of appropriate personal protective equipment will be required in an industrial setting.
Pay: $54,042.13 - $65,082.99 per year
