About the Role
Descon Oxychem Limited is looking for an Inspection Engineer to join our Technical team and ensure the reliability and safety of critical plant equipment through inspections, condition monitoring, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates must have experience in Condition Monitoring of rotary equipment and Inspection of Static Equipment with strong knowledge of API, ASME, and ASTM standards. Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the Vibration Analysis Program with third-party support, ensuring accurate fault diagnosis.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to implement recommendations.
- Coordinate third-party inspections of static equipment (reformers, vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, piping).
- Implement the Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Plan to improve equipment reliability.
- Develop inspection packages for plant turnarounds and oversee activities during these periods.
- Implement PSM (Process Safety Management) modules on Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance.
- Manage OPEX for inspections and execute relevant CAPEX projects.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for mechanical damage and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3–4 years in inspection and condition monitoring.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in vibration analysis tools.
- Knowledge of API, ASME, and ASTM standards.
- Experience with RBI planning and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in root cause analysis.
- Effective cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Condition Monitoring or Vibration Analysis (e.g., ISO Category II).
