We are seeking a qualified and experienced Inspection Engineer to perform independent inspection services for oil & gas and fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform independent inspections, surveillance, witness, and verification activities at vendor workshops, fabrication yards, or manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure strict adherence to applicable codes, client specifications, drawings, and international standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, ISO).
- Verify compliance of welding procedures (WPS/PQR), material certificates (MTC), and welder qualifications.
- Witness and review all stages of NDT (UT, RT, MT, PT), hydrotesting, dimensional checks, and pressure testing.
- Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Plans.
- Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, punch lists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and release notes.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, fabricators, and certifying authorities to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability for final data books or manufacturing record books (MRBs).
- Support vendor qualification and audits when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Production Engineering.
- Minimum [5+] years of inspection experience in oil & gas, pressure equipment, piping, structural fabrication, or heavy engineering.
- Certified CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2, AWS CWI, or equivalent.
- NDT Level II or higher in UT, RT, MT, PT (as applicable).
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, material traceability, welding techniques, and testing procedures.
