Job Title: Inspection Officer (Inspection-Focused)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inspection Officer with a strong background in inspections and compliance enforcement. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, identifying non-compliance, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and reactive inspections of premises, sites, or activities to ensure regulatory compliance
• Identify violations, document findings, and prepare clear, accurate inspection and enforcement reports
• Issue notices, warnings, citations, or orders as required by legislation
• Collect evidence through observation, interviews, measurements, and record reviews
• Work closely with internal teams, external agencies, and the public to resolve compliance issues
• Follow up on corrective actions and re-inspect to ensure compliance is achieved
• Maintain accurate records and case files in accordance with legal and organizational standards
• Provide guidance and education to stakeholders regarding compliance requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience in inspection, compliance, or enforcement roles
• Strong knowledge of inspection procedures, regulatory standards, and enforcement processes
• Experience conducting site visits and documenting inspection findings
• Ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and policies
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in the field
• Valid driver’s license (if field inspections are required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or training related to inspection or enforcement
• Experience working in regulatory, municipal, environmental, safety, or compliance-based roles
• Familiarity with evidence collection and legal proceedings
