Inspector

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a part of the Sumitomo Electric Group, is currently seeking an experienced full-time Inspector for our Third shift at Cherryville, NC location. This person will report to the Quality Supervisor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform operations necessary to visually inspect and sort powdered metal parts for defects.

· Accurately visually inspect and sort powdered metal parts for defects using necessary tools.

· Accurately observe, measure, record, and move parts to ensure product quality.

· Provide accurate documentation of operation.

· Provide active input to continuous process improvement.

· Within a team environment, effectively and safely perform all functions to maximize inspection operations and team harmony

· Effectively communicate job-related information.

· Maintain a clean, organized work area

· Work with and assist other areas.

· Actively participate in the training of others and aid in the evaluation.

· Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

· Ability to read and write. Must be able to comprehend procedures, process documents, and work instructions.

· Must be able to write sufficiently to document the process

· Ability to visually detect small objects from a short distance, requiring corrected 20 - 20 vision or better.

· Use precision measuring equipment, methods, and techniques, record and interpret results.

· Thorough knowledge of all applicable process documentation.

· Exhibit positive team behaviors.

The base salary range for this position is $15/hour to $18.00/hour.​

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
