Inspector Packer Team Leader (2nd Shift 2:15pm-10:30pm)

Role Summary:

The Inspector Packer Team Leader is responsible for working with the Production Crew Leader in managing daily assignments, training, and evaluation of individual Inspector Packers on their assigned shift.

Accountable for:

• Ensures all shift Inspector Packer crew members understand the needs of the customer and how quality is defined by the customer.
• Responsible to the customer to ensure that the output of the process is a quality part.
• Ensures Inspector Packers work safely and always adhere to good safety behaviors.
• Confirms good manufacturing practices are followed to ensure product safety.
• Training of new Inspector Packers and on-going training to prepare advancement to higher responsibility jobs when they become available, as well as coaching Inspector Packers to achieve peak performance in their present position.
Assist Crew Leader in Assignment of crew members to a specific machine or job according to production schedule requirements
• -this includes overtime scheduling and daily line assignments and impact on rotation.
• Assisting Inspector Packers in complying with rules, production standards, and other company procedures; (such as regular attendance).
• Coordinate with Machine Technicians and Quality Technicians on issues regarding quality of produced parts.
• Make certain that the work areas are kept neat and clean and within 5S Standards.
• Assist Crew Leader in the hiring process to ensure best fit for open positions.
• Help implement the company's commitment to equal opportunity in employment.
• Complete any other special projects as assigned by the Production Manager or Crew Leader.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Level 3 Inspector Packer.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Background, or experience in training and management.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting of 15-25 lbs.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional repetitious tasks with upper extremities.
• Prolonged periods of standing on concrete floor.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to correctly wear and use personal protective equipment.
