Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential settings. Responsibilities
- Installing, servicing, and repairing heating systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Conducting routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
- Diagnosing faults using mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Performing heavy lifting when required, ensuring safe handling of equipment and materials
- Reading technical drawings and schematics to guide installation or repair work
- Assisting with system assembly and component fitting in both commercial and residential environments
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Ensuring all work areas are left clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role within the domestic services industry
- Practical knowledge of plumbing, mechanical systems, carpentry, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as welding gear
- Experience working on commercial heating systems is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or maintenance tasks
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties preferred but not essential
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical documents
