We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control (QC) Technician to support the installation, qualification, calibration, and maintenance of radiopharmacy QC equipment across the United States. This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel to customer sites, including hospitals, PET centers, and radiopharmacies.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that QC systems are properly installed, validated, and compliant with regulatory and GMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of QC equipment at customer sites
- Execute preventive maintenance and corrective service on radiopharmacy QC instruments (e.g., dose calibrators, TLC scanners, gamma counters, HPLC systems, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues in the field
- Prepare and complete validation and service documentation in compliance with GMP, FDA, and customer requirements
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
- Train end users on proper operation and maintenance of equipment
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, project management, sales) to ensure successful project execution
- Maintain accurate service reports, calibration records, and travel logs
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in:
- Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical), or
- Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiochemistry, or related field
2+ years of experience in:
- Field service, equipment qualification, or technical support
- Preferably within radiopharmacy, nuclear medicine, or medical devices
Strong understanding of:
- GMP / GxP environments
- Basic radiation safety principles (preferred)
- Instrumentation and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Willingness to travel across the United States
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel by air frequently
- Ability to work independently in a field environment
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
