Institutional Research Analyst I

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in statistics, mathematics, social sciences or a related field
  • Two (2) years of related work experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains records and files and prepares periodic and special reports to document activities for workforce, Perkins, NRS, and Adult Education programs. Prepares presentations to summarize data collection and analyses.
  • Reviews and analyzes collected information using different methods and computer programs. Responsible for researching and responding to the College's requests for data and ad hoc reports, including use of Office 365 programs, PeopleSoft query manager, and other applicable software.
  • Responsible for providing academic program data for the School of Adult Education.
  • Provide support and assistance in the development and distribution of most of the department’s publications, including but not limited to the Fact Facts brochure, Core Performance Indicators, and the IR website.
  • Serve on appropriate campus committees.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Must demonstrate experience in data collection, analysis, and report generation.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft queries, SQL or other reporting tools and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Must have strong problem solving and project management skills.
  • Must be able to learn new technologies (i.e., PeopleSoft) quickly and proficiently, manage multiple tasks concurrently and interact with a wide range of users and remain calm under aggressive deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to analyze data and present information (both verbally and written) in a concise and understandable format is essential.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills are required.
