Institutional Research and CRM Analyst
JOB DESCRIPTION | SUMMARY:
The Institutional Research & CRM Analyst is an individual contributor who supports enrollment and institutional research at Cleary University. The role administers the university’s CRM and marketing automation platforms, produces reports and dashboards, and prepares accurate datasets for required external/compliance reporting (e.g., IPEDS, STARR, NC-SARA, EADA, NAIA). The analyst improves data quality, documents processes, and trains users to ensure consistent adoption.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Administer the university’s CRM and marketing automation platforms: user access, permissions, configurations, data quality controls, and release readiness.
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated workflows, list/segment management, and data integrations across the enrollment funnel.
- Create and manage forms in the web form platform, including fields, validation, and integrated workflows.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
- Provide onboarding and ongoing training for staff on CRM functionality, processes, and best practices; maintain user guides.
- Collect, clean, and analyze data to support institutional research and required external/compliance reporting (e.g., IPEDS, STARR, NC‑SARA, EADA, NAIA).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Implement auditing processes and data standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and efficiency in data collection and reporting, coordinate remediation with data owners.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking with peer institutions to inform strategic decisions.
- Promote data literacy and responsible data use across the university through documentation, office hours, and training.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business operations or related field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Foundational knowledge of CRM platforms (administration, reporting, dashboards)
- Understanding of APIs, and proficiency with a scripting or query language (e.g., SQL), plus basic workflow automation
- Strong grasp of business operations and process flow
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines
- Quick to learn and effectively use new business systems and applications
