Instructional Designer

The AgriSafe Network has an exciting opportunity in our Louisiana office for an Instructional Designer to lead our efforts in making an extraordinary impact. We are a national, mission-driven non-profit organization, and our goal is to improve the health and well-being of people working in agriculture. AgriSafe’s impact is realized across the globe because we utilize web-based technology to deliver the best trainings by experts in the field.

In this role, you will design new training initiatives and optimize and expand upon existing programs. This work will include identifying curriculum and resource gaps as well as scoping and implementing effective solutions for online learning programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-learning development and familiarity with Articulate or a comparable platform. Your role will involve collaborating with content experts to structure and format content to ensure a seamless and engaging learning experience. Additional responsibilities include:

¨ Assist core team in the integration of a new LMS

¨ Design and develop instructional materials, including courses, curriculum, and training manuals.

¨ Work with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and create relevant content.

¨ Utilize instructional technologies and multimedia tools to enhance learning experiences.

¨ Develop assessments and evaluation tools to measure learner progress and effectiveness of instructional materials.

¨ Analyze existing content and make recommendations for updates and improvements based on learner feedback and performance data.

¨ Advance the trainings as a viable business model.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

· Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field

· Competency in Windows, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, MS Office products, web-based interfaces

· Experience with audio and video editing products

· Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, Canva and Articulate in particular

· Remain current on best practices in professional development

· Strong project management skills, with 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work well with staff, volunteers, and others in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

· Knowledge and familiarity with effective adult learning strategies, and experience working in a professional association or coordinating professional development offerings.

Employment Type: The Instructional Designer position is classified as an exempt, full-time, 40 hours per week, twelve-month, continuing one-year position based on successful reviews.

Working Environment: Typical office environment with outside meetings as necessary.

Physical Activities: Ability to provide personal transportation.
