Instructional Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver engaging learning experiences that support employee development and organizational objectives.

The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional partners to create learner-centered digital and classroom training materials, assessments, and performance support resources aligned with instructional best practices and measurable learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Design & Development
  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and e-learning courses using sound instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

  • Create learning objectives, storyboards, scripts, and job aids that address performance gaps and business needs.

  • Develop assessments, quizzes, and evaluation tools to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge transfer.

Content & Media Production
  • Produce and edit multimedia assets, including video, audio, graphics, and interactive elements to enhance learner engagement.

  • Collaborate with multimedia specialists or produce assets in-house using authoring tools and basic graphic/video editing techniques.

Learning Technology & Delivery
  • Develop and publish e-learning content compliant with SCORM/xAPI standards using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, or equivalent).

  • Manage course uploads, user enrollments, and reporting within the Learning Management System (LMS); troubleshoot technical issues related to course delivery.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Management
  • Partner with subject matter experts, HR, and business leaders to gather requirements, validate content, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, maintain timelines, and communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze learning data, feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

  • Iterate on course content and design based on learner feedback, assessment results, and evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications - Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Educational Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing corporate training programs or educational content.

  • Proven experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate) and familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and assessment design.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and reporting.

  • Background in multimedia production, basic video editing, or graphic design.

  • Experience in a corporate environment or within industries such as industrial, construction, or financial services.

  • Certifications in instructional design, e-learning development, or learning technologies (e.g., ATD, CPLP) are a plus.
