About the position:

We’re looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join our dynamic eLearning development team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with fellow designers to build engaging, high-quality online training courses that help us deliver on key deadlines and exceed client expectations.

As part of our team, you’ll design eLearning content for a range of audiences. This includes both internal training modules tailored to our products and tools, as well as curriculum for external clients—particularly those focused on topics related to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop eLearning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline) and other authoring tools. Note: contractors must provide their own Articulate 360 license
  • Create interactive learning experiences that leverage adult learning principles and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508).
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather content, validate workflows, and build accurate, role-relevant training.
  • Develop assessments, knowledge checks, and course materials that ensure measurable learning outcomes.
  • Apply foundational graphic design principles—such as layout, typography, color, and branding—to create clean, visually engaging course content.
  • Create or adapt basic visual and multimedia assets (e.g., graphics, icons, image editing, light motion graphics) to enhance learner engagement and align with corporate branding and accessibility standards.

Qualifications:

The minimum education and experience requirements for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 3 years of instructional design experience OR an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Strong proficiency in Articulate Storyline - must provide own license
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a cross-functional team
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
  • Proven ability to design effective training specifically for eLearning environments
  • Demonstrated experience with multimedia development tools such as Vyond, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage professionally with internal stakeholders and external subject matter experts
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially when reviewing content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and overall user experience
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration is a strong plus, and candidates who bring these skills will stand out:
  • Administering, configuring, and maintaining the LMS, including user management, permissions, and course assignments.
  • Uploading, testing, and troubleshooting SCORM, xAPI, and AICC packages.
  • Generating reports and analytics to measure learner engagement and training effectiveness
  • Providing technical support to clients, learners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Human Services or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) field is a plus, but not required
