The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications for Instructional Systems Specialist for Technology effective immediately. This position requires a 240-day (year round) contract. The ISS position supports the instructional program by providing technical and instructional services in the areas of classroom and administrative technology. This role acts as a bridge between technical expertise and educational practice, ensuring that all technological and A/V resources are effectively utilized to improve student achievement and district operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Two years college preferred
APSCN experience preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of basic computer applications.
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and perform word processing
Ability to infuse technology into the curriculum and understand instructional design principles.
Ability to analyze and recommend network strategies and integration of hardware and platforms
Ability to maintain computers and networks
Ability to support instructional and administrative computing through acquisition, networking, training and informational services
Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas or Blackboard.
Ability to manage remote access connectivity and security to the enterprise network
Ability to install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation and networking software
Ability to perform on-site analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex PC problems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to train and mentor educators.

Experience:
Five years of experience with responsibilities involving information systems technology
