Milwaukee Public Schools seeks exceptional Instructional Support - Library (Grades K-12) candidates who are highly qualified and knowledgeable to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders.
The Instructional Support - Library (ISL) is a full-time,10-month position with the primary responsibility of supporting school library programs at the district level. The ISL provides library staff with pedagogical support to effectively leverage library media resources (including technology) as aligned to district priorities. The ISL challenges library staff and school leaders to fulfill their vision and advocates to improve student achievement by engaging students in the learning process and personalizing learning. The ISL works to ensure that every school library program has the opportunity to become proficient in leveraging library media resources (including technology) to access deeper learning through rigorous and culturally relevant experiences. ;

Position may be required to work additional hours, outside of the normal business day.
Salary range: $62,786.16 - $117,586.72 (1D - 200-day calendar)
Placement on the salary schedule is based on years of fully licensed teaching/pupil services experience in a K-12 setting and education beyond a bachelor's degree.
