Instructor (Dental Assisting)

Position Overview:

The Valley School for Dental Assisting is a long-standing, highly respected training program in Encino. We are seeking a polished, reliable, and clinically strong Dental Assisting Instructor to join our team. (RDA)

This position is best suited for a dental professional who takes pride in their work, holds high standards, and is interested in mentoring motivated students in a structured, professional environment. We are selective in our hiring and are looking for individuals who naturally lead, communicate clearly, and represent the profession at a high level.

Schedule Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Tuesdays & Thursdays – Daytime availability required
• Additional evening and/or weekend hours available based on fit and interest

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver clear, structured instruction in dental assisting (lecture and hands-on)
• Supervise students in lab and clinical environments
• Maintain strict infection control and safety standards at all times
• Create a focused, professional, and accountable classroom environment
• Monitor student performance and provide direct, constructive feedback
• Support overall classroom organization and program quality

Required Qualifications

• One of the following:
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
• Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
• Dentist (DDS or DMD)
• Active California license in good standing (if applicable)
• Strong clinical background and professional presence
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience
• Ability to confidently manage a small group setting

Candidates without teaching experience will be considered if they demonstrate strong clinical skills and professionalism. Paid training is provided.

Compensation

• $32–$35 per hour ($35.00 Per Hour if an experienced instructor)
