Position Overview:
The Valley School for Dental Assisting is a long-standing, highly respected training program in Encino. We are seeking a polished, reliable, and clinically strong Dental Assisting Instructor to join our team. (RDA)
This position is best suited for a dental professional who takes pride in their work, holds high standards, and is interested in mentoring motivated students in a structured, professional environment. We are selective in our hiring and are looking for individuals who naturally lead, communicate clearly, and represent the profession at a high level.
Schedule Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Tuesdays & Thursdays – Daytime availability required
- Additional evening and/or weekend hours available based on fit and interest
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver clear, structured instruction in dental assisting (lecture and hands-on)
- Supervise students in lab and clinical environments
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards at all times
- Create a focused, professional, and accountable classroom environment
- Monitor student performance and provide direct, constructive feedback
- Support overall classroom organization and program quality
Required Qualifications
- One of the following:
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
- Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Dentist (DDS or DMD)
- Active California license in good standing (if applicable)
- Strong clinical background and professional presence
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience
- Ability to confidently manage a small group setting
Candidates without teaching experience will be considered if they demonstrate strong clinical skills and professionalism. Paid training is provided.
Compensation
- $32–$35 per hour ($35.00 Per Hour if an experienced instructor)
