INSTRUMENT HELPER

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a motivated Instrument Helper to support the instrumentation maintenance team. The candidate will assist in the day-to-day maintenance and calibration activities under the supervision of qualified engineers and technicians.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Instrument Engineers and Technicians during calibration, maintenance, and installation tasks.

• Carry tools, calibration equipment, and spare parts to and from work sites.

• Support in the preparation of instruments for calibration or maintenance under supervision.

• Perform basic tasks such as labeling, cleaning instrument enclosures, and cable routing.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

• Follow all safety protocols including PPE requirements, LOTO procedures, and hazardous area guidelines.

• Assist in the transport and storage of instruments and related consumables.

• Report any observed damage, hazards, or abnormalities to the supervising technician immediately.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

✓ Secondary school certificate; vocational training in instrumentation or electrical trades is preferred.

✓ Basic understanding of instrumentation equipment and industrial safety.

✓ Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor and indoor industrial environments.

✓ Eagerness to learn and ability to follow detailed instructions.

✓ Previous experience in a power plant, oil & gas, or process industry is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO250.000 - RO350.000 per month
