Southwest Air Systems is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Manager to join our technical leadership team in Ghubrah South, Muscat. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of sophisticated control systems that keep our air and industrial systems running at peak performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of automation, PLC programming, and field instrumentation, paired with the leadership skills necessary to manage a team of technicians and engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Departmental Leadership: Manage the I&C department, overseeing project lifecycles from initial design to final commissioning and maintenance.
• System Design & Integration: Oversee the implementation of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and PLC-based control systems.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize system downtime and ensure the reliability of automated processes.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all instrumentation and control activities comply with local Omani regulations and international safety standards (SIL, ISA).
• Budgetary Management: Manage the I&C budget efficiently, ensuring all projects are completed within the OMR 3,000/month operational value structures.
• Vendor & Contractor Management: Act as the primary technical contact for third-party vendors and contractors regarding instrumentation procurement and upgrades.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in I&C, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of calibration, loop tuning, control valves, transmitters, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
• Industry Background: Experience in HVAC, industrial air systems, or oil and gas sectors is highly preferred.
• Location: Must be able to work on-site in Ghubrah South, Muscat.
