Insurance Agency Assistant - Agent Trainee

We are seeking a people and detail oriented employee to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping clients navigate their insurance needs. This role involves engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

o Work with the McCoy Insurance team to develop strategies to best serve our clientele

o Submit claims for clients

o Apply payments to accounts accurately

o Answer billing and general insurance policy questions

o Input data into our agency management system (IMS)

o Record interactions with clients and communicate insured’s needs with the team

o Organize and update office files

o Provide exemplary customer service on every transaction

o Answer, monitor, and reply to voicemails, phone calls, and emails in a timely fashion

o Educate clients on the types of coverages and policies available, in order for them to make a calculated decision, (once licensed)

o Quote and write policies for both personal and commercial lines,( once licensed.)

o Develop working relationships with underwriters from multiple companies

o Maintain confidentiality in the workplace

o Stay relevant regarding insurance trends in the market place

o Conduct policy reviews with our clientele base (once licensed)

Experience

o Licensed Ohio Agent in Property and Casualty insurance. Life license is preferred but not required. Client must be willing to obtain Insurance License if not currently licensed. Company will re-imburse for expenses associated with testing.

o High School diploma

o Solid PC skills and familiarity with multiple companies’ technical platforms

o Strong organization and documentation skills

o Detail oriented

o Ability to work and communicate with a team effectively

o Ability to problem solve and find a solution through self-study

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
