We are seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Insurance Compliance Officer to lead our compliance function and ensure our organization meets all payer, regulatory, and operational requirements with confidence and precision.

Role Overview

As the Insurance Compliance Officer (Head of Compliance), you will oversee all insurance-related compliance activities and manage a team of 3 Compliance Specialists. You will design processes, enforce standards, and ensure continuous adherence to insurance, payer, and healthcare regulations.

This role is ideal for a leader who understands US healthcare insurance compliance, thrives on structure, and can hold teams accountable while improving systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all insurance compliance operations
  • Manage, train, and supervise 3 compliance team members
  • Ensure adherence to insurance payer requirements and regulations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
  • Monitor audits, reviews, and corrective action plans
  • Identify compliance risks and proactively resolve issues
  • Coordinate with credentialing, billing, and operations teams
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for compliance activities
  • Stay updated on changes in insurance and healthcare regulations
  • Serve as the primary compliance point of contact for leadership

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in insurance compliance, healthcare compliance, or medical administration
  • Strong knowledge of US insurance processes and payer requirements
  • Prior experience managing or leading a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create systems, enforce standards, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience in mental health or behavioral healthcare
  • Familiarity with audits, corrective action plans, and payer reviews
  • Experience working with global or remote teams
