Insurance Portfolio Analyst

The Insurance Portfolio Analyst is responsible for evaluating and managing the insurance portfolio of the client. This role involves analyzing insurance policies, assessing risk exposures, monitoring claims data, and providing insights to optimize the company's insurance coverage strategy. The Insurance Portfolio Analyst collaborates with various internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Portfolio Analysis:

Evaluate existing insurance policies to ensure they align with the client’s risk profile and strategic objectives.

Analyze coverage limits, deductibles, exclusions, and terms of insurance contracts.

Identify potential gaps in coverage and recommend adjustments to mitigate risk.

Risk Assessment:

Quantify and qualify potential risks to determine the adequacy of current insurance coverage.

Claims Monitoring and Analysis:

Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends and patterns.

Collaborate with claims management teams to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.

Provide insights to improve claims handling processes and minimize losses.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated on relevant insurance regulations and compliance requirements in India.

Ensure insurance policies adhere to regulatory guidelines and reporting obligations.

Reporting and Communication:

Prepare and present reports on insurance portfolio performance and risk exposure to senior management.

Data Analysis and Insights:

Utilize data analytics tools to extract insights and trends from insurance and claims data.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.

Documentation and Record keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of insurance policies, endorsements, and related documentation.

Ensure that all policy documentation is readily accessible for audits and inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration (B.com, MBA) or related field.
• Proven experience in insurance portfolio analysis, risk assessment, or related roles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex insurance policies and data.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements in India.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, and familiarity with insurance-specific software.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
