Insurance Premium Payment Associate (Hybrid)

We are seeking an Insurance Premium Payment Associate to support insurance payment operations within a Sentara facility. This is a non-clinical role with no patient care involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls (approx. 99% of the role)

  • Assist members with insurance premium payments, rates, and billing inquiries

  • Process and document payments accurately in the system

  • Route calls to appropriate departments

  • Provide professional, high-quality customer service

  • Multitask by talking, typing, and navigating dual monitors simultaneously

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ year of customer service phone experience (call center preferred)

  • Strong computer and multitasking skills

  • Clear, professional communication

  • Ability to work from home with reliable internet and a quiet workspace

Additional Details

  • Hybrid position after training (up to 4 days remote per week)

  • Experience with insurance payments or billing preferred

  • New systems include QNXT and WiPro (SLP)
