SUMMARY

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is a non-profit organization focused on ending all forms of abuse in sport. We endeavor to make athlete well-being the centerpiece of the nation’s sports culture through abuse prevention, education, and accountability.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Intake Administrator ensures that the initial intake process related to reported misconduct is properly completed. This includes assessing personal and subject matter jurisdiction, completing mandatory reports related to allegations of child abuse, and coordinating with more than fifty National Governing Bodies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Thoroughly review assigned incoming incident reports and verbally present assigned reports during intake meetings to determine next appropriate steps.
  • Request and obtain Participant records from relevant NGBs/USOPC for parties identified in assigned incident reports and establishes whether Respondents meet the definition of Participant.
  • Assess all assigned incident reports to determine if mandatory reports to law enforcement and/or child protective services are required, determine the proper jurisdictional venue, and complete all necessary mandatory reports.
  • Evaluate allegations from assigned reports for severity, ensure that the proper severity rating is entered into the CMS, and inform Intake leadership of the potential need for the imposition of temporary measures.
  • Prepare and send all relevant Notices (Notice of Jurisdiction, Administrative Holds, Administrative Closures, and 48-Hour Notices) to involved parties and NGBs.
  • Create cases in the Center’s Case Management System (CMS) and ensure that all available information is accurately entered into the CMS.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of work experience
  • Experience working with a case management system, specifically one designed around administrative investigations and processing allegations of misconduct
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on thoroughness and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to both collaborate and work independently in a remote environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience within work environments dealing with allegations of abuse
  • Experience conducting initial inquiry into allegations of misconduct, particularly those involving sexual misconduct and/or child abuse
    • Experience completing mandatory reports to law enforcement and child protective services

WORK REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENT

  • Standard office equipment provided
  • Office environment in multi-story, dog-friendly building
  • Some night and weekend work hours
  • Some overnight travel required

WORK LOCATION – Denver, CO; or a location deemed suitable by the Center (e.g., near major airport and a state where the Center has established business operations). Current states eligible for remote work: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MO, MT, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NY, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.


This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The starting hourly pay range for this position is $22.58 - $24.30 and will be commensurate with background and experience.
