Intake Specialist / Case Manager - Personal Injury / Medical Negligence

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intake Specialist / Case Manager to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance, as well as manage accepted clients through the pre-litigation stage of their legal matter. Case Managers ensure our clients receive the support they need and thus have a meaningful impact on case outcome and thus our clients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake interviews for case screening by attorneys.
  • Opening files / data entry.
  • Initial case investigation.
  • Medical treatment management including coordinating with medical providers and health insurance providers.
  • Gathering all evidence related to liability and damages. This includes ensuring all medical treatment is properly documented via bills / records.

Skills

  • Manage a diverse daily task list while fielding incoming calls.
  • Software / IT. The firm uses Clio, Microsoft, Nitro, Lexis Nexis and Nitro products. Proficiency is not required, ability to learn and utilize these programs is required.
  • Communication skills. Ability to reassure clients and keep them on track. Ability to assert pressure when needed with client employers, medical providers, health insurers and relevant liability insurance companies.
  • Attention to detail / drafting.
  • Completion mindset, everything can be figured out, keep going until it is done.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Medical negligence: 1 year (Required)
  • Personal injury law: 1 year (Required)
