INTAKE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

JOB
Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to receive, photograph, and fingerprint into this facility persons who have been lawfully arrested or lawfully detained by local, state, or federal law enforcement authorities or who have been committed to Cumberland County Detention Center by a court order.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Correctly enter biographical information into Jail and Records Management.Photograph individuals who are arrested.Fingerprint individuals who are arrested.Provide DNA kits to law enforcement agencies when needed.Makes entries into DCI.Conducts criminal history checks.Handles confidential information.Maintains organization of workspace.Assist other departments within the Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies.Maintain a daily log of individuals fingerprinted and photographed.Ensure that all supplies and adequate forms are stocked for daily operations.Performs related work as required.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Ability to learn JMS, RMS, and DCI.Ability to obtain and maintain DCI certifications.Ability to interpret various information obtained through DCI and the SBI.Ability to explain and instruct law enforcement agencies how to obtain a DNA sample.Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, law enforcement, and detainees.Ability to organize work effectively.Must be able to work around inmates.The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
