Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)/Life Cycle Support Manager

Job Overview
The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager is responsible for leading Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) monitoring, supply chain health assessment, and serving as the primary customer-facing logistics representative for mission-critical systems. This role ensures long-term system sustainment, operational availability, and contractual compliance across all lifecycle phases by proactively identifying obsolescence, supply chain risks, and supportability gaps.

The ILS Manager works closely with engineering, procurement, program management, and external suppliers while acting as the trusted logistics point of contact for government and high‑reliability customers. This position is accountable for translating complex technical and supply chain issues into clear, actionable information to support customer decision-making and sustainment planning. Requires 12+ years of experience in Life Cycle Support, technical data entry and/or technical procurement.

Duties

DMSMS & Obsolescence Management

  • Lead proactive DMSMS monitoring for hardware, software, and COTS components
  • Perform ongoing lifecycle status assessments with OEMs and suppliers, including EOL/EOS, roadmap reviews, and technology refresh risk identification
  • Develop and maintain DMSMS mitigation strategies, including last‑time buys (LTBs), form‑fit‑function replacements, redesign recommendations, and spares optimization
  • Perform failure trend analysis and contribute to Failure Summary & Analysis Reports (FSARs)
  • Assess spares holdings, repair strategies, and replenishment plans to meet contractual availability and sustainability requirements
  • Support development of sustainment roadmaps aligned with program life expectancy and customer operational needs
  • Ensure logistics data integrity across reports, briefings, and contractual deliverables

Supply Chain Monitoring & Risk Assessment

  • Monitor supplier health, availability trends, and lead times to identify current and emerging supply chain risks.
  • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to forecast material availability, production constraints, and support commitments
  • Evaluate impacts of supply disruptions on contractual availability, spares sufficiency, and operational readiness
  • Support strategic sourcing decisions and long-term supplier engagement

Customer-Facing Logistics Leadership

  • Serve as the primary logistics representative to the customer for DMSMS, sustainment, and supply chain matters
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical interchange meetings, and working groups as the ILS/DMSMS Subject Matter Expert
  • Clearly communicate logistics risks, mitigation plans, and support impacts to non-logistics stakeholders
  • Contribute to audits, reviews, and customer inquiries related to logistics, sustainment, and asset supportability
  • Build trusted relationships by providing accurate, timely, and traceable logistics data in support of customer decisions

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support, Life Cycle Support, DMSMS, or sustainment of mission‑critical systems
  • Demonstrated experience managing DMSMS and supply chain risk for complex, high‑availability systems
  • Strong customer-facing skills with experience presenting to government or high‑reliability customers
  • Proven ability to translate technical and supply chain data into clear, actionable outcomes
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience producing formal reports and briefings
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to work independently and communicate progress/problems to appropriate personnel effectively
  • Experience supporting FAA, DoD, or other regulated government systems
  • Hands on experience with SAP and MS Access databases is highly beneficial

Special Notations or Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be authorized to work in United States and obtain clearances to work on government sites

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
