Integration Developer - Zoom API & Chatbot

CLD Consulting is a Zoom Platinum Partner specializing in UCaaS and CX implementations, API integrations, and automation. We work directly with Zoom’s teams and enterprise clients to deliver custom integrations, advanced reporting, and seamless workflows. We’re looking for a developer who can help us expand our integration capabilities and contribute to building chatbot tools coded in Java.

Role Overview:

As a Zoom API & Chatbot Integration Developer, you will:

- Design, develop, and maintain integrations with Zoom’s REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Implement secure authentication flows (Server-to-Server OAuth, OAuth 2.0 with scopes, and webhook validation).
- Develop and maintain chatbot functionality in Java, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Build middleware to connect Zoom with external systems (HRIS, CRMs, contact center platforms, analytics tools, etc.).
- Deploy, manage, and monitor integration services in Amazon Web Services (AWS), leveraging services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Handle API pagination, rate limiting, and error recovery in a production environment.
- Configure and process Zoom event/webhook subscriptions with proper validation.
- Collaborate with project managers, solution engineers, and clients to scope integration requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable code and provide technical documentation for client-facing and internal tools.

Responsibilities:

- Build new Zoom API integrations (meetings, webinars, phone, contact center, recordings, user provisioning).
- Extend chatbot capabilities (coded in Java), including conversation flows, API calls, and data handling.
- Architect and deploy solutions in AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and retry mechanisms for robust API workflows.
- Secure sensitive data in compliance with OAuth 2.0, encryption, and least-privilege scope principles.
- Stay current with Zoom Developer Platform and AWS best practices.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of integration frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on integrations and APIs.
- Proficiency in Java (experience building scalable services, chatbots, or middleware).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and OAuth 2.0 flows.
- Hands-on experience with Zoom Developer Platform (Server-to-Server OAuth apps, OAuth apps, webhooks).
- Proven experience deploying and managing services in AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
- Ability to handle pagination, rate limits, retries, and error handling in API-heavy environments.
- Experience securing sensitive data (PII/PHI, encryption in transit and at rest).
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with chatbot frameworks (Dialogflow, Rasa, or custom Java-based implementations).
- Familiarity with UCaaS/CCaaS platforms, especially Zoom Phone or Zoom Contact Center APIs.
- Prior work on enterprise-grade integrations (HR, CRM, ERP, analytics platforms).
- Familiarity with webhook signature validation and security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines in AWS (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or equivalent).
- Experience contributing to open-source or internal API SDKs.
