Title: ServiceNow AIOps Specialist
Location: Remote- east coast hours
Duration: Initial 12 months contract with extensions
Compensation: $85.00-$90.00

Summary

The AIOps Specialist is responsible for transforming raw operational data into actionable, predictive intelligence. This role enables the platform to understand patterns of degradation, correlate signals across infrastructure, and surface service-level risk before customers are impacted. Rather than reacting to alerts, the AIOps Specialist teaches the platform how services fail.

Strategic Purpose

The AIOps Specialist operates at the convergence of service mapping, data integrity, and automation. This role ensures the Service-Aware model evolves from visibility to foresight. By reducing noise and enabling prediction, the AIOps Specialist shifts operations from reactive firefighting to proactive service protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Ingestion & Normalization: Configure ServiceNow Event Management to ingest alerts from monitoring platforms
  • Normalize and enrich events with service and CI context
  • Ensure consistent data quality across event sources
  • Alert Correlation & Noise Reduction: Develop advanced alert correlation rules and clustering logic
  • Group related technical alerts into single service-impacting events
  • Reduce noise while preserving signal integrity
  • Predictive Modeling & Anomaly Detection: Configure Operational Intelligence and metric anomaly detection
  • Establish behavioral baselines for services and infrastructure
  • Detect early indicators of degradation
  • Automated & Guided Response Enablement: Trigger automated remediation workflows built by Developers
  • Route incidents to the correct service owners with context
  • Enable guided response using knowledge and runbooks
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow ITOM and Event Management
  • Strong understanding of alert correlation and anomaly detection
  • Hands-on experience with Operational Intelligence
  • Ability to translate operational data into service-level insight
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Service-Aware or service-centric operating models
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or SolarWinds
  • Background in high-availability or regulated environments
  • ServiceNow ITOM or AIOps-related certifications
