Intelligence Intake Specialist

The Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office seeks an intake specialist for our intelligence unit headquartered in Okatie, S.C., in Beaufort County.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

• Input court and law-enforcement data.
• Conducting criminal background checks on new defendants.
• Calculating threat assessments for new defendants.
• Assigning incoming criminal cases to appropriate staff prosecutor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required; at least some college preferred.

Special Requirements

• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License
• Clean criminal record

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of appropriate state and local laws relating to crime victims, experience in legal or law-enforcement environment helpful, although not mandatory;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite;
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Desktop/laptop computer, including word processing and spreadsheet and database software; phone, fax machine, copy machine.
